TURBAH OF KERBALA

🌺TURBAH OF KERBALA

Shaykh Tusi records in Misbahul Mutahajjid from Muawiya bin Ammar who said that Imam Al-Sadiq (as) had a mat of yellow silk in which he kept the soil from the grave of Imam Al-Husayn (as). At the time of prayers he would pour the sand on the mat and would prostrate on it.

Then Imam Al-Sadiq (as) said: ‘Indeed, the prostration on the soil from the grave of Imam Al-Husayn (as) tears apart and pierces the 7 veils (obstacles) and replaces them with 7 good qualities.’

👉The 7 veils that are torn apart are:

1. حماقة Hamaqah --stupidity
2. حرص Hirs – greed
3. حسد Hasad – envy
4. حقد Hiqd – hatred
5. حدة Hidda – anger
6. حب الدنيا Hubb ad-dunya – love of the world
7. حرمان Hirman – depriving others.

🌟These are then replaced by following 7 good qualities:

1. الحكمة al-Hikma – wisdom
2. الحزم al-Hazm – resolve
3. الحلم al-Hilm – composure
4. الحنان al-Hanan – mercy
5. الحصافة al-Hasafa – prudence
6. الحياء al-Haya – modesty
7. الحب al-Hubb – love

NOTE : Imam’s eloquence
All 14 things start with Arabic letter ح (H)
